Trevithick visit to Chyvarloe Farm

4th February 2015
Chyvarloe Farm, Loe Bar, Helston is run by the National Trust. They produce local food boxes of meat, veg and dairy products, all from the local area. The pupils from Trevithick went to visit the farm as part of their history topic of "How farming in Cornwall has changed". Farmer Paul explained to the pupils that farmers now leave land wild around the edges of their fields for conservation purposes. This also tied into their visit to Paradise Park, last week, where they learnt about how conservation of the countryside has allowed the Cornish Chough to re-populate the area.
