Multifaith Week 2017
1st March 2017
Deya visited our school and spent most of the week at with us, explaining the difference of the Islamic, Hindu and Sikh faiths with our Christian faith.
Deya spent a day in each class allowing the children to try on the clothes that Indian/Muslim children might wear. She also did some cooking with the children where there made chapattis’ and potato curry. It was lovely for the children to taste food that they might not try at home.
When Deya was in Trengrouse class they learnt about Islam and how they read the Koran from right to left on a page and not how we would from left to right.
As you can see from the photographs the children had a thoroughly enjoyable time as well as learning about other faiths.
